The metal band Dimman has finally completed their long-awaited second album, ‘Consciousness’. Over the years, the band’s music has evolved to be more riff-driven, but beautiful melodies and technical musicianship continue to make the songs versatile and full of surprises. On this album, the band flirts with shades of melodeath, nu-metal, metalcore, and black metal, yet forms a cohesive and unique ensemble of genres.
The album addresses the weaknesses and problems of the human mind, delving into challenges that almost everyone faces at some point in their lives. However, ‘Consciousness’ is not just about gloom; it also includes many glimpses of hope.
The album was mainly produced by the band itself, which brings out their vision and energy in the best possible way. The mixing responsibility was carried by Mattias Ohlsson (MO Metal Productions), whose powerful and clear soundscape seamlessly integrates both heavy riffs and delicate details.
Consciousness album is released on February 28th 2025 via Inverse Records.
