Swedish Hard Rock / Heavy Metal band Blister Brigade is set to release their new studio album ‘A Rioting New Breed’ on April 25th 2025 via Inverse Records.
A Rioting New Breed is the fourth album by Swedish Street Metal executioners Blister Brigade. This eleven-track album is dominated by the bands significant sound of mixing classic hardrock with heavy metal. This time, the mellow tunes are few, while uptempo beats and heaviness are dominating the album. Rioting New Breed keeps the focus on powerful, edgy songs along with mighty guitar-riffs, pounding bass and relentless drumming. In other words, Blister Brigade keeps on holding the Street Metal flag high.

Blister Brigade – Biography
The band was formed in the fall of 2010 by guitarist/vocalist Gustav Lund and drummer Jerker
Avander from the ashes of their former band Psycho Derby. Joined by guitarist Cristoffer Strand
and bassist Simon Lundström the band started working on rehearsing own-written songs and
playing shows.
In december 2013 Blister Brigades debutalbum ”To Serve And Punish” was released on Sliptrick
Records. The album was well received with its high octane-sounding hard rock and crossover
between classic rock and heavy metal.
The band recorded an acoustic version of Pantera ́s song ”Hollow” to honor the late Dimebag
Darrell. The song along with a performance-video got a really good response on YouTube.
After playing more gigs along with writing new songs the band started working on their second
album. In December 2016 ”The Executioner” was released on the bands own label Dead Street
Music. Although the foundation was classic hard rock, the songs on this album was a bit darker
and the band had moved towards a harder sound.
By the time ”The Executioner” was released, drummer Jerker Avander parted ways with the band.
Rickard Lundmark from death metal band Zonaria stepped in as the new drummer of Blister
Brigade. Shortly after, bassist Simon Lundström left the band, quickly replaced with Anders
Gustavsson.
The band recorded a raw-sounding, four-track E.P named ” Pissed, Outraged And Outgunned”
released in March 2018.
In 2020, Blister Brigade released their third full-length album called ”Slugfest Supreme”.
Unfortunately the pandemic struck just weeks after the release and the band was put on pause for
quite some time.
When Blister Brigade came together again to start working on their fourth album, long time
guitarist Cristoffer Strand decided to leave the band.
The new album was recorded during the fall of 2023 with the band as a trio. During that time the
band started looking for a new guitarist. The search resulted in finding young talent Samuel
Larsson who took on the task as the new guitar-player for Blister Brigade.
With a new member and the new album ”A Rioting New Breed” to be released, the band is fully
charged and ready to take on the scene again.
