Dirigido y creado por la realizadora Chiara Bettiga, el video musical de “Mgła” (palabra que se traduce del eslavo como “niebla”) actúa como un lienzo sombrío y profundamente inmersivo. Lejos de los clichés del metal extremo que solo buscan el impacto visual rápido, la dirección de Bettiga apuesta por traducir la opresión psicológica de la guerra a través de la imagen.
Atmósfera y Narrativa Visual
El videoclip captura a la perfección la esencia del concepto lírico: los ataques con armas químicas (gas) perpetrados por las fuerzas austrohúngaras y alemanas contra el ejército italiano durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, específicamente en los alrededores de Plezzo (hoy Bovec, Eslovenia).
Las texturas visuales evocan esa “niebla” asfixiante, atrapando tanto a los músicos como al espectador en un entorno gris, fantasmal y claustrofóbico. Las tomas alternan con gran dinamismo la agresividad interpretativa de la banda con secuencias cargadas de simbolismo histórico y geográfico, sirviendo como un puente entre el pasado bélico y el presente musical de la región. Hasta la fecha, este es el único corte del disco que cuenta con una producción audiovisual de este calibre, posicionándolo como la columna vertebral de toda su campaña promocional.
El Sonido
En lo musical, “Mgła” es una tormenta perfecta de Thrash y Death Metal agresivo, que en esta ocasión se tiñe de matices negros del Black Metal. Las guitarras transicionan entre riffs aplastantes y ganchos melódicos desgarradores que rinden homenaje a la música tradicional de su natal Val Resia. La producción sonora —grabada, mezclada y masterizada por Davide Zago, con la ingeniería de baterías a cargo de Pablo De Biasi— es impecable, logrando que la crudeza underground conviva con una potencia moderna y nítida.
